Farm Animals

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a lovely holidays, and wish you and your families all the very best for 2021.

Since the start of term, the MS have now joined the GS in English.  The MS have really enjoyed joining in, and the GS have been great helping the MS to understand what I am saying to them.

We started the term looking at farm animals.  We learnt:

Hen

Cow

Sheep

Dog

Pig

Horse

Duck

The children have all learnt these animals really well.  As well as learning the vocabulary, they now understand simple instructions and questions in English.  I am very proud of them.

If you would like to do more English at home, I have added some farm colouring to the drive here.  There is a picture a farm, with lots of animals.  You can count the animals with your child, and ask them ‘How many cows are there in the farm?’ You could also tell them what colour to colour each animal, for example ‘Can you colour the pigs in pink.’ ‘Can you colour the horse blue!’ etc.

We also sang the song ‘Let’s Take a Walk Around the Farm’ in class, and I am sure the children would love to listen to it again at home.

Hope you enjoy,

Clare (and teddy!)
